June 20

11:08 a.m. – On West Mound Street, it was reported that a male dressed in all white wearing a blue hat has been in the area all morning sitting on different porches and acting suspiciously. Police advised the male.

12:22 p.m. – A family friend took a juvenile for the day after an East Mill Street woman reported that he was being unruly by kicking her and taking her car apart.

3:01 p.m. ­– An East Water Street female reported that the last time she spoke with her dad, he admitted that he had someone forge her name on documents in order to secure a 2006 Chevy Cobalt. She confronted him about the paperwork and demanded he get her name removed as the owner. At the Ross County BMV, the woman had the office check and found the car still in her name. She gave Circleville Police her father’s name and the name of his girlfriend.

7:40 p.m. – A female reported that her wallet was stolen while she was swimming at the pool at Elsea’s Mobile Home Village.

11:38 p.m. – Police responded to a burglary in progress after a Renick Avenue male said there were two people trying to kick a door in. The resident said he had to hold the door shut to get it locked. The resident gave police the suspects’ names. The suspects fled from the trailer park onto Renick in a two-door multicolored Chevy Cobalt. 

June 21

1:39 a.m. – A fight involving some 14 people took place near West Main and South Scioto streets. One male was allegedly assaulted and was unconscious, laying on the ground and bleeding from the back of his head. Police did not take a report because by the time they got there everyone had fled the scene including the injured male. They responded to the scene again at 2:22 a.m. after a caller said participants in the fight have returned and are standing out in front of a bar in the 200 block of West Main Street preparing to fight again.

June 22

5:11 a.m. – ­ Someone threw a brick through a Logan Street window, shattering glass all over one of the home’s occupants. Report taken.

6:46 a.m. – Police received a report about two large hound dogs walking in the middle of Northridge Road east of Nicholas Drive.

9:43 a.m. – A caller from a Lancaster Pike pizza shop complained that several vehicles were using the business’s lot, (name of business redacted) to park before going over to the Pickaway County Fair. He demanded the officers do something about it and said they could walk around the fair and find the violators. No report was taken because the caller refused to let the officer speak. He also was advised that his lot contains zero “no parking” signs.

3:41 p.m. – A North Pickaway Street resident asked for an extra patrol in the area because on two occasions someone has come into her backyard and moved her patio furniture around.

June 23

11:18 a.m. – A store manager in the 1100 block of North Court Street called police about a shoplifter, described as tall and wearing a red cutoff T-shirt, in the facility who has been stuffing items inside of her purse. Report taken.

2:06 p.m. – Joshua Higginbotham was arrested for a probation violation and criminal trespassing after he kicked in the door of a Villa Drive residence from which he was banned. He was taken to the Pickaway County Jail.

5:15 p.m. ­– A Huston Street individual reported to police that another person had claimed her boyfriend’s baby for unemployment and received monetary compensation of $3,100. Report taken.

6:13 p.m. – A Villa Drive woman called police when she discovered a racoon and its babies living under her couch. She was given contact information for pest control.

June 24

7:16 a.m. – Two chainsaws were reported stolen from Sutherlands in the 400 block of Lancaster Pike.

1:02 p.m. ­– A Kingston Pike resident told police that his sheds were broken into. Report taken.

5:02 p.m. – At an apartment complex in the 500 block of East Ohio Street, a woman reported that someone has been making threats against her daughter. Report taken.

10:45 p.m. – Police were called to the 200 block of Lancaster Pike for a fight that involved five to six males who were yelling at each other. No report was taken as the parties declined to cooperate.

11:23 p.m. ­– A Kingston Court resident claimed that someone threw a smoke bomb at her while she was standing on her porch. The item was thrown from her backyard, she told police. Report taken.

11:48 p.m. – At a hotel near Sperry Drive and Goodchild Road, police were advised that there was a female in the lobby with two open containers of alcohol and a child who was obviously in distress and crying. A caller said the female is being belligerent in the lobby because she filled out the paperwork for a room, but an employee is refusing to give her one. The female was wearing a black shirt and pink and white pajama pants, and she is threatening to leave with the child in a white Jeep. Arrested was Misty Renee Nungester, 41, on charges of endangering children and disorderly conduct. She was taken to the Pickaway County Jail.
